Participants will learn how to mix and develop their own glazes from mineral ingredients, gaining insight into material behaviour, chemistry, and surface outcomes. Through demonstration, guided mixing, and practical testing, the workshop builds understanding of glaze formulation and encourages experimentation. In an additional session on Monday 24th August 5pm -7pm, the fired test tiles are reviewed collectively, supporting discussion around results and variation. The session is designed to build confidence in developing a personal glaze palette and deepen awareness of material relationships in ceramics.
