Intermediate Wheel Throwing8 weeks Course
DATES: This course will run for 8 weeks - on Wednesdays Mornings.
START DATE: Wednesdays 6th May '26 till 24th June '26
TIME: Wednesdays 10:00am - 12:30pm
This 8 weeks course is designed for those with basic wheel throwing experience who are ready to deepen their practice and expand their skills on the wheel.
Moving beyond centering, you will refine your technique and develop greater control and understanding of form.
This course supports your journey with clay through a more intentional and mindful making process.
You will get the opportunity to learn and experience:
- Pulling taller and more refined forms
- Developing consistency and control in your throwing
- Trimming and finishing bases with precision
- Introduction to handle making and attachment
- Measuring and creating lids
- Understanding proportion, balance, and functional design
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
- Unlimited clay use

- 6 pottery wheels

- Slips & glazes
- 3 mug-sized pieces will be included in the course – Free of charge
- Different ways of decorating using underglaze, sgraffito, engraving, and more
*Please note: firing your pieces will have a fee applied, this will be determined by the weight. (15.80 per kg).
WHAT TO BRING?
- Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting clay on
- An apron or large over-shirt is a good idea
- A large towel dedicated for play/clay (pre-loved one is perfect)
- Feel free to bring along a snack and lunch
- Tea and coffee supplied with love
You don't need to bring anything special, a great attitude and a willingness
for mindful activity is a must :)

Important information
Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will be your receipt and inform you of the dates, time, and venue of your course, it will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you. Please make sure that you give us a valid email address and mobile number as any course changes will be communicated via sms or email.

Please note our classes are very small and in high demand so we are unable to offer you a refund if you can’t make it.
If you miss a class, we can offer you a make-up studio time if possible.
